Well, welcome to my writing blog!
This is somewhere where I can talk about the process of writing and even show off snippets of my own work. There will be book reviews of things I've read, both fiction and non-fiction, recommendations of things you should read, links to resources and articles I've found useful, both for research purposes and for improving my own writing skills, and writing exercises to help get you started and to kick your muse into gear.
The blog will actually start in the new year as part of my New Year's Resolution to write more and to think more about my writing, but I didn't want to leave it looking quite so awfully empty until then. I'm hoping to have a kind of structure to the blog, although I don't want to set up completely inflexible rules about what I'm going to post when. The rough plan is that I will be posting on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Reviews and recommendations on Mondays, writing exercises on Wednesdays, links and resources on Fridays, and a snippet of my own writing, hopefully in the form of an answer to the Wednesday exercise, on Sundays along with a record of my progress for the week. In addition I may try to post a daily prompt.
I have signed up for the WriYe writing challenge with a target of 300,000 words for the year. Subject to change, of course, if I feel its going really well and want to increase it!
So I shall see you all in the New Year. Good luck, and good writing.

Good luck with the WriYe writing challenge. 300,000 words sound aweful lot. I'll check in once in a while. :D
@sylumfitzgerald
Thanks hon. I actually think I can do more but I thought it was better to aim a bit lower and be able to adjust it upwards than vice versa. Less pressure ;)
This is a great idea! I like how you're structuring your week as well. It will be interesting to see how it works throughout the year.
@crowgirl13
It means I have to be organised enough to post every day but I do have all the prompts already sorted out and I shall be doing the NaBloPoMo thing definitely :D
And I will be posting an exercise every week and working on them myself. So it should be interesting.
